Arabic Culture and Spanish in Granada

This three-week course combines Spanish lessons with courses about Arabic culture. The aim of the Spanish and Arabic Culture is to explore the city of Granada, which was heavily influenced by Arabic culture and to learn Spanish. The Spanish lessons are appropriate for all levels of Spanish.

Granada was an important part of the Arabic World for 800 years and still holds traces of its Arabic past in its heart, culture and in the architecture of the city. Aspects of Arabic culture that will be explored include: Arabia and the Arabs, the origins of Islam, expansion of Islam in the world, interpretation Koran, origins of sects, Arabic culture and Moorish Arts, and Islam today.

What's included:

• You combine the Arabic Culture courses with your choice of Spanish lessons for the three weeks.
• 3 hours of Arabic culture courses per week, 9 hours total over the three week period.
• 8 students maximum per Spanish lesson, 16 students maximum per course on Arabic culture.
• All materials needed for Spanish lessons
• Cultural activities (welcome dinner, dance classes, trips to museums, tours of historical sites, movies etc.)
