Economy of France

France’s economy has an interventionist model which involves state ownership and government control of many major companies, this despite of a wave of privatizations in the 90’s. 40% of the workforce is employed in the industrial sector and half of economic earnings are from industrial production. France is the largest producer and exporter in the European Union.
