Rainforest Conservation in Ecuador
The rainforest conservation project aims to conserve some of the last remaining primary rainforest in Ecuador. This critical initiative is staffed by volunteers who get practical experience in global rainforest conservation efforts while helping to save this precious resource.
Before starting your rainforest conservation project, you will spend two weeks in Quito learning Spanish and preparing for the volunteer work. Traveling to, from and around rainforest stations is a great way to get your own tropical rainforest tour.
You will work alongside researchers and local experts to plant saplings, record animal presence, research rainfall at weather stations and everything in between. When you are not working, typical activities include playing soccer with the locals, hiking through the tropical rainforest, relaxing and camping in an exotic habitat.
Price: $750.00 USD (minimum time commitment is 6 weeks)
